Offset vs. Hydrant Extensions?

Offsets are gaining popularity over hydrant extensions for adjusting the height of hydrants. Hydrant extensions are the traditional method and require the hydrant to be disassembled and reassembled in order to install them. The quicker option is to adjust the height of a hydrant by using an offset. By rotating the MJ x Swivel Offset, the hydrant can be raised or lowered up to 24-inches. The swivel gland end allows the hydrant to be set plumb regardless of bolt hole alignment and the swivel end is considered a restrained connection.
