MJ x MJ Adapter - Series 100
 
The Series 100 MJ x MJ Adapter provides a compact, bolt-through restraint option for MJ bell connections. The Series 100 takes less time to install compared to the traditional method of using two joint restraints and a short stub of pipe. The connection takes less space as well. The product also assists in creating alternate assemblies for an unusual fitting.

Product SPECS
  • MJ x MJ Adapter and spacers are made of high strength ductile iron in accordance with ASTM A536 Grade 65-45-12
  • The hardware kit uses standard t-head and pigtail bolts made from high strength low allow steel per ANSI/AWWA C111/A21.11. Kits for 6” to 12” come with pigtail bolts, which are sometimes necessary when fitting clearances prevent the installation of a standard t-head bolt.
  • Distance between MJ connections are 1 ¼” for sizes 3” to 12” and 1 ¾” for sizes 14” to 36”
  • The gaskets supplied are standard MJ gaskets made from styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) per ANSI/AWWA C111/A21.11
  • Maximum working pressures of 350 psi for sizes 3” to 24” and 250 psi for 30” to 36”.

3” TO 12” ADAPTER COATING:

Available in either Black Asphaltic seal coat or Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE).


14” to 36” ADAPTER COATING:

Comes standard with Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE).


HARDWARE OPTIONS:

  • Comes standard with high strength low alloy steel t-head and pigtail bolts in accordance with ANSI/AWWA C111/A21.11 .
  • Optional hardware available in 304SS, 316SS and Star-Blue Fluoropolymer.
  • Special long hardware kits available for C110 Full Body applications.

GASKET OPTIONS:

  • Comes standard with styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) gaskets.
  • Optional gaskets are available in EPDM, Neoprene, Nitrile or Viton.
