1. Monthly Evening Worship and Potluck Dinner

Worship - In the Beatitudes, Jesus offers us a vision of how to embrace the kingdom of God and invites us into practices for living a life of faith in the world. Over the next few months we invite you to join us on this journey of worship as we look at how these teachings of Jesus form us as followers of Christ through the words, postures, and practices of Jesus himself. Note that this worship service will be completely different content from the Sunday morning series on Romans.

Food - Following worship will be a potluck dinner in Massey Tucker Hall. In October we will continue our World Communion Day celebration, please bring a global dish of your choice-enough to feed your family plus four more. Just drop your goodies in MTH before worship then we’ll enjoy them after worship!

Childcare will be available, please contact Julie Clark (jclark@gpch.org) with the names and ages of your children.

2. Trunk or Treat

Sunday, October 24, 4:00 – 5:30 p.m., Grace athletic field parking lot 

Join us for trick or treating, candy, food (for a small fee) and fun! This is a terrific evening to invite your friends, family, and neighbors to share in some costume fun.  

Host a trunk, we can't have Trunk or Treat without trunks. Help us create a fun, safe night of Trick or Treating for kids by hosting a themed trunk. It is easy and fun! Our Children's Ministry team is happy to share ideas for quick, easy, fun trunks. Contact Johneice Haney at jhaney@gpch.org for trunk information. Register HERE for trunks and food.

Donate candy…..we always need candy to help support those who host a trunk to share with those who attend. Please help with candy donations, there are “candy bins” in the Welcome Center or you may donate from the Amazon Wish List HERE.

3. Congregational Meeting

Sunday, October 3 following worship,
no Equipping Hour for adults, students or children today

Following the worship service on Sunday, October 3 there will be a brief Congregational Meeting for all church members to elect elders and deacons as well as two at-large representatives to the Church Officer Nominating Committee. 

There will be no Equipping Hour for adults, students and children on October 3, but please join us for an extended time of coffee and community after the congregational meeting. Childcare will be available for children ages 5 and under. The meeting will be livestreamed but all voting will be in-person.

• Amount Needed Prior to Year End - $1,575,520

We are 75 percent through 2021 and have collected 57 percent of our goal. This puts us $645,520 behind our goal to date.
