1. Paul Revere Middle School Build Day!
Saturday, November 6, 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Grab your tools and join us at Paul Revere Middle School on Saturday, November 6! We are excited to be partnering with the school to rebuild an outdoor classroom area and beautify a portion of the campus.
In these social distance times, we haven’t been able to mentor the students on campus. This outdoor space will allow us to share Jesus’ love through mentoring and reconnecting with the students, faculty members and teachers.
We will spend time removing old decking, trimming trees, and hauling away trash. If you have any of the following tools, please bring items with you:
- Gloves
- Hammers
- Pry Bars
- Shovels
- Rakes
- Pruning shears
- Wheel barrows
Children participating must be 13 or older and with an adult. Your time commitment can be flexible, come for two hours or the entire time. Please bring a water bottle and lunch is included. Contact Kristy Elmore Kelmore@gpch.org to confirm your participation or for more information.

2. Monthly Evening Worship and Potluck Dinner

Sunday, November 7, in the Chapel
5:00 p.m. Worship, 6:00 p.m. Potluck Dinner
Worship - In the Beatitudes, Jesus offers us a vision of how to embrace the kingdom of God and invites us into practices for living a life of faith in the world. Over the next few months we invite you to join us on this journey of worship as we look at how these teachings of Jesus form us as followers of Christ through the words, postures, and practices of Jesus himself. Note that this worship service will be completely different content from the Sunday morning series on Romans.
Food - Following worship will be a potluck dinner in Massey Tucker Hall. In November our main dish will be fried chicken, please bring a side dish of your choice-enough to feed your family plus four more. Just drop your goodies in MTH before worship then we’ll enjoy them after worship!

3. New Courses October 31 - December 5

Biblical/Theological Track
Course Title: Hard Questions - Hard Conversations (Part B), part A is not a pre-requisite, anyone may take this course.
Facilitator Teacher: Chris French
Location: MTH 201
Description: Do you feel ill equipped to have conversations about difficult topics from a Biblical perspective? If so, then this is the perfect course for you! Christian faith includes many controversial beliefs that non-Christians find hard to accept. Part B of this course will explore 6 issues that might cause someone to dismiss Christianity—issues such as the existence of suffering, the Bible’s teaching on gender and sexuality, the authority of the Bible, and more. In this course we will have conversations about the best research from sociology, science, and psychology that doesn’t disagree with but actually aligns with claims found in the Bible. This course will help us understand why these issues and how to discuss them with people that disagree with us.

Transformational Track
Course Title: Ponder: Christmas
Primary Resource: Ponder materials and resources provided by Amy French
Facilitator Teacher: Amy French
Location: Massey-Tucker Hall Room A
Description: Ponder: Christmas will expand your awareness of the Word of God as we explore scripture related to Advent. By giving words time and space, they can take on a new perspective and meaning you may have never considered. The richness of getting the words off the pages and into a conversation with others and into conversation with God is something that helps take words from knowledge to experience. The Greek word for ponder is also translated “discussed”. The goal is awareness, engagement and communion.

Communication Note
Together we’re all God’s people!
We’ve added a new “Together” icon at the bottom of the Grace Weekly. By clicking the Together icon, you’ll find information about the community of Grace-our people, members and friends. While WORSHIP, EQUIP and SERVE tell you about those ministries, we wanted a landing page for information about our people. You’ll see information on births, deaths, baptisms, new members, weddings, Stories of Grace and everything in between.
