1. Don't Miss This Amazing Opportunity to Serve:
Paul Revere's 8th Grade Graduation Celebration

We have a beautiful way to celebrate the Paul Revere Middle School Eighth Grade graduates, and we invite you to join us! As we prepare to provide box lunches to feed 300 families (that’s 1,200 meals!), we need your help! There are two ways to serve:

1. Bake chocolate chip cookies for the box lunches. We have Ziploc bags at the Welcome Center for you to use, four cookies per bag please. Drop off at the Welcome Center either June 6 or 7 by 5 p.m.

2. Help us make sandwiches Tuesday, June 8, in Massey-Tucker Hall from noon-4 p.m. Come for as little or as long as you can and bring a friend! For more information, contact Beth Craig.

2. India Response

Over the past several weeks, we have heard and seen the significant impact COVID has had on the people of India. It is heartbreaking to know what is occurring. There are many stories of tragedy as the country runs out of resources to fight the spread of the virus, to treat those who have the virus, and to handle the overwhelming number of deaths.

Grace has a beautiful history of responding to the needs of others, both locally and around the world, as disciples. Right now, India needs oxygen concentrators, PPE kits, N-95 masks, and medicines.

We are in conversations with a key partner of Grace to provide direct aid and address the needs to fight COVID in India. The country has now seen 26 million recorded cases and a death toll of 291,000 people in an extremely short period of time, and both numbers are widely considered to be underreporting the actual situation.

A network of local trusted partners in India are mobilizing to respond to the tragic number of cases that have spiraled out of control in recent weeks and are currently in an emergency response phase.

The needed items are being distributed to hospitals and partner organizations who are on the front lines of caring for those who are infected and vulnerable, and even safely tending to the bodies of those who have lost their lives to this virus.

We want to share this opportunity for you to have a trusted avenue to help our sisters and brothers as they provide life-saving resources in this crisis. To personally respond, you can provide financial support for the needed items by giving in one of the following ways:

  • Online at https://gpch.org/india/
  • Writing a check payable to Grace Presbyterian Church (Please write in the memo: India, the item, and quantity)

One hundred percent of your donation will be given to Grace’s key partner who is working directly through a network of trusted relationships in India.

3. Welcome New Grace Staff

Facilities Director Eugene Zelicskovics

Eugene Zelicskovics has joined our family as Director of Facilities. Eugene has a wealth of knowledge as he has had a great deal of experience in Facilities and Building Operations, Engineering Operations, and Real Estate. Initially from New Jersey, he has been in Houston for several years now. Eugene and Maria have three children Bianca, Jennifer, and Kevin who all graduated from the University of Houston

Student Ministries Intern Liz Moran

We are truly blessed to have the opportunity to walk alongside Liz Moran, our summer intern. Liz attends Baylor University (go Bears!) and will be a senior in the fall. She attended high school in New Jersey and her family now lives in Connecticut. To say she is a little far from “home” would be true but if you spend any time with her, it is apparent that she “is home” with us this summer.
