Your Continued Support
is Needed Now
More Than Ever

An unprecedented crisis calls for an unprecedented response. This crisis has, and undoubtedly will continue, to impact each of us in a variety of ways, including financially. Yet, in our obedience to our Lord, we still have the opportunity to respond however we can. It's precisely why we remain eternally grateful for the generosity of this wonderful congregation. Please know that your faithful giving to Grace’s annual budget will continue to empower us to make Jesus visible in very tangible ways.

Using your smartphone’s camera or code reader app, you can scan this QR code to go straight to the secure Grace online giving webpage HERE. Follow the prompts to create or login to your giving profile, and in just a few clicks, your contribution is made. As always, you can also mail your check to Grace.

Church Offices Close
in Response to Order
to Stay-Home/Work-Safe

With the imposition of Harris County’s Stay-Home/Work-Safe order, the church offices will be closed through April 3, and all church employees will work from home. We will continue to broadcast our services at 10 a.m. (11 a.m. for Grace en Español) each Sunday. If you need to reach someone at the church, you may call the main number to be connected to the pastor on call voicemail. For administrative or financial matters, you may contact Hardie Morgan (hmorgan@gpch.org; 713-267-5028).

Some of you drop off your financial offerings at the church. With the offices closed, that will no longer be possible. Gifts can be made online at www.gpch.org/give, or you can mail a check to: Grace Presbyterian Church, 10221 Ella Lee Lane, Houston, TX 77042.

Demonstrate the Love
of Jesus Christ

The certain and clear message of the Gospel is true. Disciples are to serve... to be a people who look out for the interests and needs of others and lend helping hands in the name of Jesus Christ.

Serving others will look differently at this time. However, as disciples, we will adapt and engage in ways that meet the evolving needs of our neighbors, community, city, nation, and world to demonstrate the love of Jesus. Please know the leadership of Grace will continue to encourage and equip you to serve with compassion and caution that is in line with our civic leaders and medical professionals.

Friends of Westchase - Assessing and Addressing the Needs of Families
in Our Community

Friends of Westchase is working with administrators at Walnut Bend Elementary and Paul Revere Middle School as well as two local apartment complexes to assess and address specific needs of the community as families adjust to a digital learning environment. WHAM is serving as the main community resource for critical needs like food, and Friends of Westchase will work to make sure local students have the materials and resources they need to learn remotely. For further details or questions, contact Nancy Bailey and follow them on Facebook and Instagram for updates.

Love Your Neighbors

As much as you are able, within the suggested guidelines with care and compassion, reach out to your neighbors and the vulnerable and see how you can help make Jesus visible to them. The simple gesture of being connected and in community will provide great comfort to those who feel most isolated.

We’d love for you to share these “Stories of Grace” online with the Grace family so we can celebrate and stay socially connected even as we must be physically distant.

Day of Hope

Today

On Thursday, Grace will partner with radio station KSBJ in their Day of Hope. Together, for 24 hours, we will pray for God’s heart of love, mercy, and truth to dwell in us and show us how to face the challenges posed by the new coronavirus. Each hour, we will focus our prayer on a different aspect of this disease. Together, we will stand strong in faith, unite in prayer, and remain grateful that we serve a God who listens. Emergency Blood Drive

Tomorrow, March 27
Saturday, March 28
9 a.m.-3 p.m., Massey-Tucker Hall

Blood Drives are an essential service and are part of Houston’s Emergency Response team. While recommendations are to stay at home, blood donations are allowed and desperately needed during this time. You can save three lives with one blood donation.

The Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center is facing a severe blood shortage and Grace has responded by opening our doors to the Blood Center. We need volunteers to give blood this week. The Blood Center is following all heightened CDC recommendations regarding sanitization and safety to provide a clean, safe environment for donation. We will take online appointments and make sure physical distancing is well maintained. (Note: Everything used is designated for one person and then sent home with them or disposed, i.e. squeeze ball, blankets, etc.) To donate, please register using the following links:

Tomorrow, March 27: Register HERE.

Saturday, March 28: Register HERE.

Student Ministries
To Go Live on Instagram

Thursdays, 2 p.m.

Each Thursday, while we are social distancing, we will go "live" on both the Middle School and High School Instagram accounts (grace.middleschool and grace.highschool). The livestream will feature a short devotional, a brief teaching message, and some questions of reflection at the very end based on the sermon from that previous Sunday. We encourage students to grab their friends and watch together -- from six feet apart. We especially encourage you to watch together as a family, and go through the questions in community with one another at the end.

"A Day in the Life..." Coming Next Week

Student Ministries will capture a "Day in the Life" video of what they are doing during this time inside and ask students to send in their own videos, too! Look for directions in next week's Grace Weekly. The first installment will appear Friday, April 3!

Crowded House and More Student Min Fun to Come

Crowded House small groups will return in some fashion soon, along with other One-Off events by Student Ministries. Follow them on Instagram and on the Grace website. Look for more information next week!

Student Mission Sunday Update

Given the nature of our everchanging world and the CDC guidelines concerning the coronavirus, a difficult decision was made to postpone Student Mission Sunday, the golf tournament and Silent Auction.

Despite this temporary disappointment, we do have amazing news to share! Our generous underwriting efforts made it possible to cover one third of the cost of each student's mission trip. This is an incredible blessing to celebrate!

We look forward to rescheduling these events to lift up our amazing student ministry! Thank you so very much, Grace Family, for your continued prayers and support!
