A Time of Transition

This is a significant moment in the life of our church, but the hand of the Lord is very visible to us. Thank you for your patience, encouragement, and prayers! In the midst of this transition, God is working mightily in and through our church. We have much to celebrate and give thanks. We look forward to keeping you updated each step of the way during this transitional season.

Here are the ways we will keep you updated regularly:

  1. Transition Webpage: Each week, our Leadership and Session will keep you updated HERE. If you have questions that are not answered on our transition web page, you may always email us HERE.
  2. Grace Weekly Videos from Grace Leadership:  Each week, via a video message, a member of our staff or Session will share timely, updated information about the life and ministry of Grace Church. Click HERE to read a summary of his video update today.
  3. Session Weekly Updates: Each Friday, we will post brief updates from our elders and Transition Team on the Transition web page HERE. Additionally, you may email our elders HERE.
  4. Kitchen Table Talks over Zoom: Thanks to those of you who were able to join us for one of our Kitchen Table Talks on Sunday, Aug. 2 or Wednesday, Aug. 5! We will have more of these in August, so stay tuned!

Virtual Sunday Worship and House Worship Liturgy Guide

We continue to have one worship service in English at 10 a.m. and in Spanish at 11:15 a.m. each Sunday. The links to watch on Vimeo, YouTube, or Facebook will be posted each week on our website and social media.

Rec Soccer Registration

Opens August 7

Grace Presbyterian can hopefully participate in WHCSA Soccer in the fall for Prek4-5th grade Boys & Girls. Registration for players and volunteer coaches will be from August 7-31. Practice will tentatively start mid-September with games from September 19 through November 7.

Payment will not be required until September 1 (in case we are unable to have the season).

Note: Due to COVID-19, the League will have certain protocols in place for the season. Those protocols will be spelled out and communicated to everyone sometime in the next few weeks.

Ponder Farm-to-Table
Class is Online

Sunday mornings, 11:15 a.m.

Want to experience the freshness of God’s fruit of the Spirit? Join the Farm to Table class on Zoom at 11:15 a.m. on Sundays to Ponder a verse or two that relates to the Sunday Sermon. No preparation is necessary, but you will want your Bible and a pen and paper. Click HERE to join the Zoom.

This week is our last Sunday in our current small groups. August 16 will be the first Sunday that everyone "moves up" to their new grade levels.

Mission Challenges - Last Week to Deliver to Grace

If you still have your Mission Challenges box/bags, you can bring them to Grace and place them in the black bin with the yellow lid outside the Welcome Center doors. We'll deliver them for you. Or make it a socially distanced field trip to one or both organizations to deliver the supplies as a family!

Connect with other members of the Grace family through our new Conversations groups. Join us as we create a space for discussions of how we live out our walk with Jesus while being honest with one another in the struggle. These Conversations will last approximately 30-45 minutes. Grace Olympics

Clothed By Faith

Last year Grace began to partner with Clothed by Faith. We placed a clothing donation bin on our campus to support their efforts. Due to Covid-19, we want to encourage you to foster this partnership by making donation at their warehouse. Clothed by Faith is accepting clothing donations and is very grateful for your continued support. They accept gently used clothing and shoes, and only new socks and undergarments. Please check their website (www.clothedbyfaith.org) for their latest needs and to review important guidelines regarding the suitability of garments to be donated. Donations can be dropped off at their warehouse: 802 Dominion Drive, Ste. 100-300, Katy, 77450. Thank you again for your help in clothing our neighborhood.

Stephen Ministry Cares

When was the last time someone listened, really listened, to you?  We’re talking about that undistracted, full-attention kind of listening, the kind of listening that is always confidential.  That is one of the ways Stephen Ministers care for others.

Grace needs more Stephen Ministers to care for those who are making that long journey through the valley of a life crisis, which could be a death, a divorce, loss of a job, a new baby, COVID 19, any number of things that could cause a major disruption in life.
