Grace Family,
We invite you to participate in a Holy Week experience that will look different than it has in years past. Life in the world also looks a bit different than it has before, doesn't it? So together, let's lean into the opportunity to worship and grow in new and formative ways.
For this year's Holy Week, we will offer daily meditations to help focus our minds and hearts on Jesus' journey to the cross. Beginning Monday, April 6, you will receive an email containing a video devotion, scripture for meditation and other devotional resources to foster your spiritual growth each day of Holy Week. It also will be posted HERE each day. We encourage you to share these Holy Week devotions with family and friends.
Additionally, we'll continue in the "new normal" pattern of offering Sunday morning “Grace at Home” livestream worship at 10 a.m. and Wednesday evening Prayer and Worship now beginning at 7 p.m. This earlier start time will allow us to open with a piano prelude of Holy Week hymns followed by worship and prayer at 7:30 p.m. These services are designed to help us on our journey alongside our Savior in the week ahead. Please check the website and social media sites for the Vimeo links for each worship service. You also will be able to watch it “on demand” any time after each service by clicking HERE.
Join us for these Holy Week worship services:
- Palm Sunday, April 5 at 10 a.m.
- Holy Week Prayer and Worship Wednesday, April 8
7 p.m. Piano prelude featuring Holy Week hymns
7:30 p.m. Holy Week Worship and Prayer
- Easter Sunday, April 12 at 10 a.m.
Finally, we invite you to make Jesus visible in your neighborhood! In spite of social distancing, we can connect in a powerful way to our brothers and sisters in Christ as we enter the holiest of weeks. This Sunday, April 5, we encourage you to put a branch, cross or wreath on the front door or front windows of your home to celebrate Palm Sunday. Any kind of branch or cross or a simple wreath you make will do. Then, for Easter Sunday, we encourage you to decorate your door with crosses, lilies, flowers, or your own creative ideas to symbolize the celebration of our Risen Lord. We would love to see your pictures, so be sure to post them on our Instagram and Facebook pages!
Is this Holy Week different than normal? Yes. But does it have the potential to form us more deeply as disciples of Jesus Christ as we engage with worship, prayer, and the Word in new and different ways? Yes! So, with holy expectation and anticipation, we invite you to join us!
